Super Saturated is a barrier support serum with 30% glycerin– aka your skin’s fave hydrator. At higher percentages glycerin goes beyond hydration to unlock its unique barrier replenishing and soothing properties. This one-of-a-kind saturating blue goo also has supporting ingredients like polyglutamic acid, bisabolol, prickly pear extract, and niacinamide.
Buffer Jelly is a daily "micro-slugging" oil-gel that coats your skin in a jelly-light layer of barrier boosting protection. 3% petrolatum works synergistically with 0.5% ceramide NP, free fatty acids, and acai sterols to target multiple pathways of barrier repair for serious results in a deliciously lightweight formula, suitable for any skin type.
You can use each product separately, but for the full experience, here’s how to use them together: THE EXPERIMENT BARRIER ROUTINE
STEP 1
After cleansing apply a generous amount (3-4 pumps) of Super Saturated to your face.
STEP 2
Layer Avant Guard over the serum to mask. Enjoy life as an alien for 10 min to 1 hour. After you’re done masking, take Avant Guard off, pat in remaining serum, and continue on with the rest of your routine.
STEP 3
As the last step in your routine, apply 2 droplets of Buffer Jelly to seal in your skincare and prevent moisture-loss overnight.
Avant Guard is made of 100% non-porous, soft stretchy silicone.

Buffer Jelly Ingredients: Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalane, C13-15 Alkane, Dextrin Palmitate/Ethylhexanoate, Petrolatum, Jojoba Esters, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Tocopherol, Panthenyl Triacetate, Ceramide NP, Euterpe Oleracea (Acai) Sterols, Ethyl Linoleate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Wax, Naringenin, Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid, Linolenic Acid.
In a 33 person clinical trial, after 2 weeks of using Buffer Jelly:

Are Super Saturated and Buffer Jelly vegan?
Yep! Both products are vegan and do not contain any animal derived ingredients.
Is Buffer Jelly suitable for oily, acne-prone skin? How about on top of my acne treatments?
Buffer Jelly was created specifically to relieve dry, sensitive, compromised skin, but we kept all skin types in mind when formulating. All ingredients were screened for comedogenicity, but it’s always safe to patch test if you’re unsure!
Because Buffer Jelly is semi-occlusive, it doesn’t completely ‘trap’ actives and enhance penetration/irritation like pure petrolatum. However, everyone’s skin is different so again, we recommend patch testing if you have particularly sensitive skin.
Can I use Avant Guard with exfoliating products or other strong actives?
Important: Do not use Avant Guard over prescription treatments (ex: tretinoin), exfoliating products (ex: glycolic acid toner), or other actives that can be irritating on their own (ex: retinol). Avant Guard uses occlusion to aid in product absorption. Occlusion is a powerful force, and could lead to these actives irritating your skin more than usual if applied under Avant Guard. We suggest using these actives after your masking session!
